Since the introduction of  The Housing (Scotland) Act 2014, you now have to ensure that the Electrics
in a dwelling being rented or leased must meet certain standards.

These refer to EICR – Electrical Inspection Certificate Report & PAT Testing among other safety tests 

You must ensure that the electrical equipment  provided for use by the incoming tenant
along with the electrical wiring within the property have been PAT tested and that they hold the Certificate
